Water of Tanar, 1870
Several small estate suspension bridges were known to have been built over the Water of Tannar in Aberdeenshire before1871. One of these was near the confluence of the Tanar and the Dee, but others are likely to have spanned the river at the level of the House and above - maybe 5 in all. Few signs remain. |
